Bio
Victor Lana is a Brazilian-born, Canadian-based artist who has been composing and performing from the tender age of 2, when he got his first guitar. Born into a family where every gathering turned into a sing-along jam session, Victor grew up with a natural appreciation and curiosity for music. Along the way, he's been in Brazilian country duos, lead singer in pagode groups and rock bands, and even played the drums in the church choir.
"Music is a universal language - it's what helped me learn English and feel welcome when we first moved to Canada and what keeps me grounded and connected to my Brazilian cultural roots. Music offers us a way to connect beyond language and beyond borders. My goal with this project is to raise the profile of Brazilian music within the global culture and to connect with other cultural expressions through art."
